Joint Injury Care

Injury Causation
To determine a causal relationship, one must determine if the requirements of temporal relationship, biologic plausibility, literature support, and sufficient injury have been met. There must be a probable relationship between the trauma and the symptoms.
We perform causation & apportionment determinations.

Congenital: Present at birth due to spine formation issues.
Neuromuscular: Caused by conditions like cerebral palsy or muscular dystrophy affecting muscles & nerves of the spine.
Degenerative: Develops in adults due to age-related wear and tear on the spine.

Ligament Damage
Pain Relief & Tissue Healing!
Spinal ligament damage, often resulting from injury or overuse, can cause back pain and instability. These injuries, ranging from mild sprains to complete tears, can affect the ligaments that connect vertebrae and provide spinal stability. Symptoms may include pain, stiffness, limited range of motion, and muscle spasms. .
Disc Injury Pathology

Disc pathologies is when one of the discs in your back (usually lower back or neck) protrudes out on the nerve causing pain. Depending on which disc is affected and how much it is compressing the nerve will determine where your symptoms are located.
Brain Injury Explained
This is a seminar that Dr. Connelly presented on brain injury in 2024
Neck Pain & Headaches
A headache after a car accident, sports injury or trauma, also called a post-traumatic headache, is caused by the trauma of being involved in a motor vehicle collision. A headache might appear immediately after an accident, but a delayed onset post-traumatic headache that presents in the hours or days after the incident is also very common.
Headaches
Headache is one of the most common forms of pain and a major reason cited for days missed at work or school as well as visits to the doctor. Without proper diagnosis & treatment, headaches can be severe and interfere with daily activities.
Motion X-ray
Dynamic motion or functional x-ray is great for observing the stability and motion of the joints. One minute of digital motion video x-ray is like taking hundreds of static x-rays and putting them together into a video.
Joint Pain & Arthritis
Post-traumatic arthritis causes stiffness and pain in your affected joints after an injury. You probably won’t need surgery, but it might take a few months to feel better. Any injury to your joints (like a car accident or sports injury) can cause post-traumatic arthritis.
We have specialized testing, treatments and care plans for patients with arthritis. We also focus on preventing acceleration of post-traumatic arthritis.
Chronic Pain
We have a chronic pain program that can help you without drugs, surgery or injections. Our goal is to help the tissue function better for better health.

Notice Regarding Provider Financial Relationship and Payment Terms
Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements are made.
1. No Insurance Contracting: Our office and providers are not contracted with any health insurance company, including Medicare or Medicaid. Georgia law does not require participation in any insurance network. Our office will accept payment or may rely on auto insurance (med pay, or PIP), other insurance from the at-fault party, or any other party that holds funds to pay for services at this office directly.
2. Private Payment Agreement with Patient: Even if the patient is individually contracted with a health insurance carrier or covered under a workers’ compensation plan, these contracts permit the patient to enter into a separate private payment agreement with the provider. This agreement, commonly referred to as an “Agreement to Defer Payment,” takes precedence over any third-party payer arrangements.
3. No Attorney Liens or Letters of Protection (LOPs): This office does not enter into any Letters of Protection or lien-based arrangements with attorneys. This is a critical part of our business model and compliance structure.
4. No Sale or Funding of Medical Accounts: We do not sell, assign, or factor patient accounts receivable to third parties under any circumstances. No third-party funding arrangement exists or will be created for the cost of care provided.
5. Usual, Customary, and Reasonable (UCR) Charges Defined by AMA: We base our charges on the American Medical Association’s definition of Usual, Customary, and Reasonable (UCR) fees, meaning “the amount paid for a medical service in a geographic area based on what providers in the area usually charge for the same or similar medical service.” Per AMA Policy H-385.923, AMA does not recognize discounted rates from Medicare, Medicaid, or private insurance contracts. This offices fee schedule is 2-3x the Georgia Workers Compensation fee schedule which is reasonable especially because Workers Compensation is guaranteed and pays interest after 30 days.
6. Georgia Peer Review Law: Compliance
Under O.C.G.A. § 43-9-1, our providers are authorized under Georgia law to conduct chiropractic peer review. Any dispute regarding charges or services must be reviewed by a chiropractor approved by the Georgia Board of Chiropractic Examiners as a peer review agent.
